This directory contains 129 landmarks recorded by a community map project. Some have proposed real-world counterparts; others have only a name or a position on the reconstruction. The pages show the available names, addresses, lookup results and sources. They do not establish that every record is a real building or a confirmed game location.
The current dataset records 59 named proposed counterparts and 75 street addresses. These groups overlap, and an address without a building name still needs checking. Missing fields mean missing evidence.
Why bother mapping Florida at all
Two reasons, and neither is nostalgia.
The first is research. The real-world map helps you locate a proposed Florida building and inspect the surrounding area. Real-world distances do not establish distances, roads or travel times in Leonida; the reconstruction remains a separate, unverified map.
The second is traceability. A named building and a street address give readers something to investigate. An address lookup can help locate that building, but a trailer comparison needs its own identifiable frame or screenshot. The directory currently links the community source; it does not provide a frame-by-frame proof for every record.
What one landmark page records
Open any landmark and the page is organised around four questions, in this order:
- Recorded location. The address, city and state, where available.
- How precise is that. A house-number match is not the same as a street-level match or a name-based one, and the page says which it got.
- Who says so. The geocoder or dataset behind the coordinate, and the community source behind the game claim.
- Game verification. The current pages explicitly say the community positions have not been verified in game.
The eight areas
The community directory groups its records into eight areas. Counts describe this dataset, not the amount of detail in the released game or official administrative boundaries.
| Area | Landmarks | Named proposed counterpart |
|---|---|---|
| Vice City | 42 | 21 |
| Port Gellhorn | 24 | 8 |
| Vice Beach | 21 | 18 |
| Leonida Keys | 12 | 4 |
| Kelly County | 10 | 2 |
| Hamlet | 10 | 4 |
| Ambrosia | 6 | 1 |
| Waning Sands | 4 | 1 |
Fifty-nine of the 129 records name a proposed counterpart. The remaining seventy have no named counterpart in this dataset; some still have an address. That absence does not prove that no real building exists.
Why only twelve landmark pages are submitted to search engines
The site currently allows twelve landmark pages per language into its sitemap. These selected records have a named proposed counterpart and address information. The other landmark pages remain accessible through navigation but carry noindex while their content is developed. Sitemap inclusion does not guarantee search indexing or validate a game claim.
The reality report
The reality report plots accepted real-world lookup results and shows which records lack coordinates. Some results may be outside Florida; the report groups them by recorded location. A landmark without a usable coordinate cannot be placed on this map.
Open the reality report to inspect the lookup coverage and proposed real locations. It cannot verify the shape or scale of the game map.
Official GTA VI page — trailers and screenshotsWhat changes on 19 November
The site ships in two states, and the switch is deliberate.
In demo mode, collectible pins are stand-ins. When the tracker switches to live data, placeholder points at confidence 0 are removed. Confidence 1 means one external source, still unverified; 2 means two sources agree; 3 means checked in game. Publication therefore does not mean every point has been personally verified.
The landmark directory remains community research after release. Its claims still need checking, and new game evidence may change names, positions or proposed counterparts.
Common questions
Are these the actual GTA 6 locations?
These are community landmark records, some with proposed real-world counterparts. The current pages do not prove a trailer-frame match for every entry, an exact game position, an accessible interior or a collectible location.
What does “no counterpart recorded” mean?
This dataset has no named proposed counterpart for the record. It may still contain an address. It does not establish what other researchers know or whether the game location exists.
