Using the map

How to use the Leonida collectibles map

What each control does, when to turn spoilers off, and how progress and share links work. A five-minute read before you start ticking things off.

The tracker currently has 36 sample pins across two separate collections: 24 in the postcard demo and 12 in the stunt-jump demo. These categories and totals are not confirmed game content. Each page loads one collection with a synced list. No account is needed; progress is stored in the current browser.

The four buttons over the map

These buttons control the map directly. Connect points and Next also have keyboard shortcuts.

ControlWhat it doesKeyboard
Connect pointsConnects numbered points with straight lines, not roadsR
NextJumps to the next point you have not ticked yetN
FitReturns to the whole map without changing your filter—
Brighten mapRaises map brightness while keeping the interface dark—

Missing hides points you have already marked. Fit independently restores the full map extent; it does not zoom to the remaining pins. Select a point in the list to move to that location.

Spoilers: three settings, one purpose

The spoiler control in the top bar decides how much the list is allowed to tell you. It is not a difficulty setting; it is a filter on text.

The setting persists per browser, and it travels in share links, so a link you send someone opens with the same spoiler level you were reading at.

Why a collectible map needs spoiler levels at all

Because a collectible map is a story leak. Knowing that a postcard is behind a specific motel in a specific district tells you that the district exists, that you will go there, and roughly when. Some people want that on day one; most people want it after their first pass through the area. A single “show everything” toggle forces the first group to ruin it for the second, so the map asks once and remembers.

Do spoiler settings change what is loaded?

No. The page is static and every point ships in the HTML payload regardless of the setting — the filter only decides what is rendered. Interactive spoiler controls require JavaScript. Without it, the page offers a basic static list that does not apply the selected spoiler filter.

Ticking things off

There are three ways to mark a point found, and they all write to the same place:

  1. Open a point on the map and press the tick button in the card.
  2. Select the row in the list and press F.
  3. Use the checkbox beside a point in the list.

The ring in the top bar counts what you have ticked against the collection total. It is the only progress indicator on the page, and it updates the moment a point changes state — there is no save button because changes are saved automatically in this browser.

The share button copies a URL that carries your ticked points, your spoiler level and the point you had open. Open it on another device to add those ticks to its existing progress. It does not clear points already found on that device. The link is long because it contains the data — nothing is stored on a server to make it short.

The p parameter is the list of ticked point IDs, s is the spoiler level and i is the point to open. Anyone with the link sees your progress, so do not post one publicly if you would rather not show which points you have found.

Keyboard, if you are on a laptop

  • / moves the cursor to search
  • J and K move between points; arrow keys retain normal scrolling or map movement
  • F ticks the selected point
  • N jumps to the next unticked point
  • R toggles the route line
  • Esc closes an open card

How much of this is confirmed

Nothing yet, and the number is worth showing rather than hiding.

These are the demo counts at the time of writing. Real collectibles will receive new IDs; demo ticks and links will not mark new items as found. In live mode placeholders are excluded, while one-source and two-source reports remain distinct from points checked in game.

Common questions

Does the map work without JavaScript?

A basic point list remains readable, but the interactive map, search, spoiler settings, ticking and sharing require JavaScript. Landmark and area text is also available without scripts. The static fallback list does not hide spoilers.

Can I share a link without spoilers?

Yes. The share button copies whatever spoiler level you are reading at, so set it to Hide all first and the link opens that way for whoever receives it.
